FDA Releases Final Report on Cosmetics Tested for Asbestos

Agency results from year-long sampling test of talc-containing cosmetics.

The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) today announced that it had released the final report on talc-containing cosmetic products tested for asbestos.  FDA released the AMA Analytical Services, Inc. final report in six parts (see the CFSAN Electronic Reading Room Posting section) from its year-long sampling assignment to test talc-containing cosmetic products for the presence of asbestos.
